GENERAL SUMMARY

Qualcomm-Atheros, a.k.a. QCA http://www.qualcomm.com/qca/ is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm and a leading provider of wireless technologies for the mobile, networking, computing and consumer electronics markets. As a key member of a fast paced Integrated Wireless Technology team you will be working with WiFi (802.11x) technology, SOC infrastructure, chip level verification and employ best-in-class verification methodology.Job Responsibilities• Own SoC and block level verification for wireless connectivity designs and meet coverage goals• Own the test-bench, coding guidelines, best practices and enable reuse of block level UVM test-benches at chip level.• Come up with a comprehensive verification strategy encompassing simulations, formal verification, HW/SW reuse and simulation performance.• Work with cross functional IP teams for Integration verification• Work with design team to understand Spec and come up comprehensive test plan for quality VerificationPreferred Qualifications• 3+ yrs. of ASIC Verification experience • 1+ yrs. of working experience in UVM• Experience with scripting languages.• Experience with building at least one test bench using UVM from scratch• Good amount of experience with Digital Logic design techniques and principles, SoC architecture, including ARM CPUs, communications peripherals, multi-domain clocking, power management, AMBA bus protocols such as AHB and AXI.• Experience with testbench automation, industry standard bug tracking, and regression mechanisms, code and functional coverage-driven verification closure and be able to set up and deploy verification strategies based on directed testing, randomization, assertions, and architectural performance testing to achieve coverage. • Strong in problem solving• Strong team player and communicator

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

+ Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.

+ Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.

+ Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).

+ Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.

+ Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Bachelors – Engineering, Bachelors – Science

5+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.
