GENERAL SUMMARY

This is the Invention Age and this is where you come in.Qualcomm’s Mixed-Signal IP/Platform development team is responsible for Test definition/characterization, Test code development and Embedded test Platform designs. We are looking for candidates who have understanding and experience in lab characterization of RF/MSIP cores, Transceiver system/block level specifications and measurement methodologies. In addition, the team also develops Test infrastructure solutions including HW, SW and FW for internal customers and programming experience using C, Python and application layer software development for lab automation is desired. Prior knowledge in enabling applications for fast HW interfacing (Ethernet, PCIe, USB, etc.) as well as implementing DSP on processors is a plus.The individual selected for the position, needs to be proactive, able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, enthusiastic to work at times as an individual contributor and be passionate about delivering quality work.Preferred Qualifications • Lab automation development, Silicon bring up, Algorithm/DSP development• Understanding of RF/Mixed Signal block architectures and measurement methodology• Hands on experience with lab equipment such as Spectrum Analyzer, Digitizers, High Speed Serial Data analyzers, JTAG debuggers, etc.• Experience in one of the following areas: Embedded C/C++, LabVIEW, embedded development

Physical Requirements

• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.

• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.

• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).

• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.

• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

1+ years experience with hardware design and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools, etc. ,1+ years experience utilizing schematic capture and circuit simulation software. ,1+ years experience with circuit design (e.g., digital, analog, RF).
