Data Scientist

Overview

Data scientists influence and develop necessary action plans to evaluate and recommend ways to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of advanced analytics and data mining in the Federal Government. A requirement for the Office of Analytics and Improvements is to unlock the value of data in SSA to assist Shareholders, human capital, and customers.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify, you must be a U.S. Citizen and have excellent communication and people skills. We consider additional
qualifications such as experience, education or a combination of experience and education.

SALARY & ADVANCEMENT
This position is at the GS-13 level with opportunities for career advancement. Your starting GS-level is based on your education and experience. Salaries are competitive and include locality adjustments based on the job location. SSA offers promotion opportunities and a wide variety of positions in our numerous offices across the country.

SALARY INCREASES:
Starting salary is at the GS-13 federal level.  GS positions have salary increases based on the number of years of successful performance. The longer you work for SSA, the more your salary will grow!
