Office of Analytics, Review, and Oversight (OARO)
The Social Security Administration Office of Analytics, Review, and Oversight (OARO) directly supports the agency's mission, goals, and service principles by reviewing program quality and effectiveness; making recommendations for program improvement using feedback from the adjudication of cases, predictive modeling, and advanced data analysis; coordinating the agency's detection and prevention of fraud; and responding to recommendations of external monitoring authorities. OARO offices bring complementary responsibilities and closely aligned missions, and our goal is to maximize inter-office expertise, building on review, oversight, accountability, and analytical skills. By coordinating quality and accountability activities, we will enhance data-driven decision-making to improve agency policies and processes and ensure quality public service.
