Qualcomm Automotive team is rapidly expanding to offer optimized AI/Compute and CV solutions for in ADAS/AD and Infotainment/Cockpit systems. To scale and strengthen our offering in this domain, we are seeking strong experienced architects and technology leaders who enjoy defining and developing software frameworks and SDKs for leading edge products. You will be collaborating across Systems, HW and SW teams within Qualcomm, covering multiple engineering disciplines including system level feature definition and development, hardware and full stack software architecture. Direct customer interaction supporting feature development and productization of commercial solutions will also be required. Successful applicant should have a diverse skill set including a strong background in system and software design, machine learning, performance analysis and optimizations.

Responsibilities in this role shall include the following:

+ Architecture, design and implementation of software SDKs and frameworks for enabling AI and Compute on Qualcomm Snapdragon Autonomous/ADAS SoCs and HW platforms.

+ Definition of functional specifications, software frameworks and SDK, components and interaction models, well-defined APIs, resource management schemes, and profiling/debugging tools.

+ Evaluation of ML inference paradigms (compiler and runtime patterns), NN model optimization tools and define the Automotive AI/Compute roadmap by and leveraging software from various Qualcomm ML R&D teams.

+ Lead system level profiling and optimization of end-to-end use-cases, identify and address bottlenecks across heterogenous computational units and realize efficient implementations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 7+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 3+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

+ 12-15 years of related work experience.

+ Hands-on experience designing and developing software for complex real-time embedded platforms, heterogenous and distributed architectures.

+ Strong understanding of compute architectures and paradigms for CPU, GPU, DSP, Tensor Accelerators, various ISAs, cache/memory management, pipelining concepts etc.

+ Hands-on experience with Deep Learning frameworks like Keras, Caffe/Caffe2, TensorFlow, PyTorch

+ Experience developing software frameworks and SDKs to enable AI and Compute/CV on embedded systems – eg, SNPE, AndroidNN, ArmNN, Hexagon SDK, GLOW/TVM etc.

+ Working knowledge of machine learning algorithms and architectures, including CNNs, and RNNs/LSTMs, and concepts of quantization, model compression, distillation, pruning etc.

+ Experience working with or designing/developing highly optimized math and compute libraries accelerated using CPUs/DSPs/GPUs.

+ Experience using industry standard development tools for requirements management, architecture/design and development.

+ Strong programming experience in C/C++ , as well as hands-on experience debugging complex embedded software.

+ Demonstrated ability to work with architects/engineers across different geographies and technology domains.

+ Master’s Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.

+ Experience designing complex fault-tolerant safety systems in accordance to industry standard specifications (eg. ISO26262, ASPICE).

+ Working knowledge of real-time and high-level operating systems and hypervisors and ability to realize safe and secure solutions using OS-provided tools and constructs.

+ Knowledge of system-level compute, memory and IO processing, inter-processor communication.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
