General Summary

Qualcomm QCT Camera team is seeking a passionate camera system architect to join the team. The Camera Systems team creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets that power advanced mobile, automotive, IoT, and AR/VR devices. Our solutions leverage dedicated hardware, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs, video recordings, and machine intelligence. As a camera architect engineer, you will play a key role in defining the architecture of new Spectra image signal processors (ISPs) inside Snapdragon SoCs. Depending on your background and interest, you might work on:• power and camera driver CPU workload optimization• Perform architecture analysis to compare architecture options and align teams to a recommendation• optimize system-level camera experience which involves ISP, SoC, NPU, CPU, GPU• map feature requirements to technical requirements with product marketing team • define ISP architecture including algorithm, hardware, firmware, software and the programming/control models of Spectra ISPs along with other engineering teams• define complete camera solution with customers and external partnersAll Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

+ Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).

+ Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.

+ Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Education:

Bachelors – Computer Science, Bachelors – Engineering, Bachelors – Information Systems

Work Experiences:

2+ years Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

Doctorate – Computer Science, Doctorate – Engineering, Doctorate – Information Systems, Masters – Computer Science, Masters – Engineering, Masters – Information Systems

Work Experiences:

2+ years experience in Image Signal Processing design, development, implementation, and verification. ,2+ years of experience with programming (e.g., C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems. ,2+ years experience in camera hardware or systems design and optimization.
