GENERAL SUMMARY

Qualcomm CDMA Technologies (QCT) is the largest provider of mobile technology, chipset and software in the world, with chipsets shipped to more than 100 customers and powering the majority of mobile devices commercially used. QCT provides complete chipset solutions and protocol software stacks for different market segments such as smartphones, tablets, wearables, data cards, modules, automotive, IOE (Internet of Everything), etc. Our integrated solutions offer device manufacturers reduced bill-of-materials costs, time-to-market, and development time. Mobile devices powered by QCT chipsets offer more features while maintaining a smaller, sleeker form-factor and benefiting from reduced power demands. We offer a wide range of tools to support the device development process, and develop new technologies based on the needs of the wireless market.

In this role you will be responsible for embedded software development and integration of mobile devices for the market segments mentioned above. Will be a member of a global software development team with responsibility for developing, integrating, debugging and commercializing world class software that implements data networking protocol stacks for wireless domains – cellular (5g/4g/3g/2g encompassing 5G NR/LTE/HSPA/UMTS/EVDO/CDMA/GPRS/etc) and Wifi (802.11 flavors) as well as Internet (TCP/IP stack) and IMS (Internet Multimedia Systems) domains. The work also involves networking drivers, connectivity software and VoIP/VoWifi/Video Telephony and other services on different mobile operating systems such as Android/Linux/QNX/Windows/etc.

Preferred Qualifications

Development experience in one or more of the following:

• TCP/IP Networking, Mobile Communication, IMS Stack, Device Drivers, Linux Kernel• Embedded SW systems/RTOS (Real Time Operation Systems) development and integration • Software debug skills and mobile device integration experience is preferred. • Written and verbal communication skills are preferred

Physical Requirements

• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.

• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.

• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).

• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.

• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors – Computer Science, Bachelors – Engineering, Bachelors – Information Systems

Work Experiences:

2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc., 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
