Starting Wage:

$68,640 – $80,000 depending on experience

Location:

On-site position in Vista, CA.

Schedule:

7:00 AM to 3:40 PM Monday through Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Creates value flow in the manufacturing processes, ensuring that systems and tools are in place, are monitored and producing effective and efficient results. Train and guide production members.
  • Support planning, implementing, and maintaining process improvement efforts across the production floor and cross-departmentally.
  • Audit and enforce new processes’ requirements and ensure that agreed upon actionable items are timely accomplished.
  • Analyze, track and report production data/performance metrics. Ensure that efficiency targets do not derail and continue improving.
  • Create and maintain standardized work instructions to ensure consistency and efficiency across processes.
  • Promote and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, while identifying and escalating potential non-compliances and inefficiencies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist in proofreading and aligning documentation with current processes, as well as conducting GAP analyses to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support the implementation and develop continuous improvement strategies (i.e., Kaizen Events, JDI (Just Do IT) initiatives, 6S, process checks, Gemba Walks, Waste Walks, visual and built-in controls) seeking to promote effectiveness and efficiency, identify/reduce/eliminate process waste, reduce cycle times and drive cost savings while meeting quality and safety requirements.
  • Partner with process owners/management to identify and leverage best practices, delivering sustainable and repeatable change. Collaborates on cross-functional and cross-departmental problem-solving projects.
  • Analyze current vs. future state for processes of various complexity levels.
  • Analyze material and information flow during planning and implementation of new production areas as well as when optimizing current state for active areas.
  • Help develop team building events, training events and production performance meetings.
  • Develop tools for improved management and distribution of information.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with staff and management to gather insights and define actionable solutions for process improvements.
  • Drive positive behavioral change across the production floor to enhance team performance and operational success.
  • Support individuals and teams through organizational changes and challenges, including technology evolution, process reviews, crisis management, shifts in customer demand, and organizational restructuring.
  • Run production tests along with machine operators prior to new equipment or new packaging material introduction.
  • Research and request safe and compliant materials purchases, as needed, to expedite projects in development.
  • Travel for business needs, including Factory Acceptance Tests (F.A.T.), as required.
  • Willing to occasionally adjust work schedule (e.g., arrive early or start later) to participate in training, meetings, or shadow specific processes.
  • Other duties as assigned within job scope.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Business, Communications, Information Science or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience with process optimization and continuous improvement projects and tools.
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects and leading teams within the field.
  • Workflow standardization knowledge, including developing and maintaining procedures.

Any combination of education and work experience that would be equivalent to the stated minimum requirements would qualify for consideration for this position.
