GENERAL SUMMARY

In order to help drive our next phase of growth in location technologies, we are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our Location technology teams.As a member of Location test team, you will be responsible for test development, execution, analysis, troubleshooting and problem resolution on Location features like Standalone, E911, 5G Location, MS/UE-Assisted, MS/UE-Based, and interaction of gpsOne features with 3G/4G/5G cellular protocols on Qualcomm chipsets. You will also be involved in test environment setup/bring up. You will interact in a team environment with developers, systems, test and test automation developers. Additional for the Field test engineer position: you will also be responsible for field test logistics including working with technicians to get test phones functional for field test. You may need to work in a field test van for specific test collects, customer demos, debugs etc. You may be required to travelPreferred Qualifications 2 – 5 years of academic or professional experience in the following areas:• Experience in wireless communications, digital communications, RF engineering• Experience in WCDMA, LTE & 5G call processing• Testing experience in GPS or 3G/4G/5G technologies• Software scripting skills (Perl/Python preferred)• Physical layer and understanding/experience in GPS navigation, E911 and LBS a plus.• Good team player with a ‘can do’ attitude• Good analytical and problem solving skills

Physical Requirements

• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.

• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.

• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).

• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.

• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Bachelors – Computer Science, Bachelors – Engineering, Bachelors – Information Systems

Work Experiences:

1+ years experience with Software Test or System Test, developing and automating test plans, and tools (e.g., Source Code Control Systems, Continuous Integration Tools, and Bug Tracking Tools)., 2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc., 2+ years Software Test Engineering or related work experience.
