GENERAL SUMMARY

The Qualcomm graphics system team is looking for talented software engineers interested in developing software for the next generation of graphics processors(GPU). The system software team is responsible for delivering device drivers and tools for prototyping, exploring, and verifying new and prospective features and for next generation GPU’s. System software engineers work closely with top mobile GPU experts, systems architects, hardware designers, verification engineers and silicon team throughout the development life cycle of GPU. Knowledge of graphics, algorithms, computer architectures, and operating systems are required to develop device drivers and solutions to support the graphics team for validation of future Adreno GPU’s. The candidate will need to cultivate a deep understanding of Qualcomm’s Adreno hardware architecture and its impact on relevant graphics APIs. A successful candidate should be exposed to C/C++ programming and graphics APIs such as Vulkan, Direct3D, and OpenGL. Physical Requirements• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Bachelors – Computer Engineering, Bachelors – Computer Science, Bachelors – Electrical Engineering

Work Experiences:

5+ years Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). ,2+ years relevant GPU experience (either external or internal). ,1+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports (only applies to positions with direct reports).
