GENERAL SUMMARY

Job Function:QUALCOMM’s Product Development Lifecycle Management (PDLM) organization supports IP Protection and the engineers who develop and test mobile-based operating systems and firmware. This position will reside in the team that develops and supports the security controls and secure development environments that protect Qualcomm’s IP. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter, customer service oriented, great communicator, and have a desire to learn and implement information technology solutions to protect IP. Candidate will work with IT partners and engineering teams to strengthen and optimize security controls with an emphasis on improving entitlement governance for Qualcomm IP across multiple domains and repositories. Candidate will also foster an understanding of the need and application of IP protection concepts, facilitate decision making with business users and identify the broader impact of current decisions related to user access, data access and information security. Candidate should have above average skills and experience with Python, a solid grasp of standard security methodologies, entitlement processes and data governance. Candidate should be familiar with scripting languages, Source Code Management (SCM) systems along with Agile and DevOps tools and methodologies. Candidate should also have skills with automation (CI/CD) environments such as Jenkins. Strong Linux skills in the areas of administration, troubleshooting and scripting. Candidate will be able to demonstrate: good communication skills, excellent problem solving and resolution skills and understanding of the software development lifecycle.Additional Preferred Qualifications:* Minimum of 5-8 years of IT experience in high-tech industries* Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills.* Strong familiarity in administering Linux-based hosts* Strong knowledge in Identity and Access Management technologies* Understand business and information technology management processes and demonstrate advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT security controls and related standards* In-depth understanding of operational concepts related to alerting, monitoring, logging. * Knowledge of core scripting languages with proven history of task automation (bash, perl, python, etc). * Understanding of security technologies (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc). * The ability to approach problems in a flexible and creative manner. * Understanding of network ecosystems as a whole; how IT disciplines are tied together and their relative purpose. * Has a strong desire to continuously improve (both themselves and the environments they support). * Ability to thrive and successfully work in a fun, fast-paced, dynamic environment. * Understands the importance of documentation. * Effective time management skills are a must.

Physical Requirements• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 20 lbs.• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
