This role focuses on addressing systemic barriers impacting Tribes, communities of color, immigrant groups, and individuals with disabilities through strategic initiatives and equitable resource redistribution.
The Strategic Action Team (SAT) provides project management, coaching, and tools designed to integrate antiracism, equity, and inclusion into OHA programs and initiatives. The team collaborates with organizational leaders, project teams, and communities to prioritize projects with high equity impact and develop resources that empower underrepresented communities affected by social injustice and health disparities.
As manager, you will oversee the development and implementation of equity-driven strategies, mentor a diverse team, and foster a collaborative environment. You will also coordinate efforts across agency programs and with health equity experts to ensure alignment with the 2030 health equity goal and drive sustainable organizational change.
Key responsibilities include:
· Leading and guiding the Strategic Action Team’s work, setting both short and long-term goals.
· Managing resources such as project management tools, coaching, and shared learning opportunities focused on health equity and antiracism.
· Mentoring team members and ensuring effective collaboration with OHA leadership, health equity specialists, and external partners.
· Engaging with Tribal Affairs to uphold OHA’s Tribal Consultation policies and strengthen relationships with Oregon’s nine federally recognized Tribes.
· Supporting OHA’s initiatives by addressing resistance to change and navigating sensitive, high-visibility issues.
· Monitoring progress toward the 2030 goal and making strategic adjustments to ensure consistent alignment with health equity principles.
If this opportunity aligns with your strengths, background, and commitment to fostering inclusivity, we encourage you to apply! At OHA, we value diversity and encourage applicants from all backgrounds and experiences to help us build a stronger, more equitable future for all.
