GENERAL SUMMARY
The Snapdragon chipsets have pushed power & thermal limits in smart phone industry with more and more complex use cases and workloads getting baked into ever shrinking size & sleeker phones in the market. This has introduced significant challenges in extending the battery life of the product on one spectrum and achieving superior performance within the device thermal envelope on the other spectrum. Coming up with diverse and innovative approaches in software is very critical in solving these broad and deep cutting edge technical problems. Enjoy life in sunny San Diego on the Pacific coast of California.• Be part of strong engineering team building and optimizing mobile Augmented and Virtual Reality enabling technology on Qualcomm silicon• Enable key partners build and deploy world class XR solutions by helping them build the key enablers such as computer vision cameras, XR optimized displays, real-time BSPs• Develop algorithms and techniques to optimize power consumption and thermal performance of XR use cases• Perform system level software optimizations using hardware and software power/thermal management techniques• Use advanced machine learning techniques in solving system level power and thermal problemsThe ideal candidate will have:• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.• 1+ years’ experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.A plus if the candidate has 6+ months academic or industry experience in the following:• Real Time Operating Systems• C/ASM; embedded systems preferred• Debugging Real Time Embedded Systems using JTAG or equivalentThe ideal candidate should have strong analytical and problem solving skills, have strong technical and interpersonal communication skills, be a self-motivated and quick learner and have a strong attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Work Experiences:
2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc., 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
