General Summary
The Power & Signal Integrity Group resides in Mobile Business Unit of Qualcomm Technology Inc., a leader in wireless communication technology. Engineers in the Power & Signal Integrity Group work on various SOC and development platforms to help bring leading edge mobile products to market. The candidate will work in a team oriented, professional engineering environment to perform a variety of signal and power integrity tasks. This engineer will work under the guidance of experienced engineers. Electrical model extraction and signal and power integrity simulations will constitute the majority of the tasks. This engineer must interface with a variety of board, package, and IC designers. Working effectively across organizational boundaries is essential as is the effective documentation and presentation of results.
Responsibilities :
+ Perform various IO analyses using established methodologies , potentially from model extraction through simulation and reporting of conclusions. IO types include LP DDR memory interfaces and variety of serial interfaces.
+ Apply established methodologies to a nalyze IO power distribution in product development and reference systems.
+ Create clear and complete documentation of results .
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Electromagnetic theory and transmission lines
• Commercial 3D electromagnetic field solver
• Ansys, Cadence/ Sigrity , Keysight , and MATLAB tools desirable.
• MS in Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
