GENERAL SUMMARY

We are looking for a passionate and skilled software engineer to provide software engineering solutions for development projects in the Security Systems Group. In this position, you will work with a team of multi-disciplined professionals to develop and optimize systems, tools and methods for QTI security solutions. The position will require you to work on multiple layers of the software stack, including user space and kernel space in different operating environments. The position will involve debugging in different software environments and on hardware. You will need to interact closely with internal teams and potentially support/work with external customers.All Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company.

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

+ 2+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.

+ 2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc

Preferred Qualifications

+ C or C++ programming.

+ Debugging skills.

+ Software architecture concepts.

+ Experience with Linux or Windows kernel software.

+ Understanding of a broad range of topics from security systems, network stacks, Multimedia frameworks, UI frameworks, loaders, application frameworks.

+ Experience with JTAG-enabled devices, hardware simulators/emulators.

+ Experience with use of cryptography and secure protocols.

+ Experience with ARM TrustZone architecture

+ Understanding of operating systems concepts such as protection domains, threads, and drivers.

+ Team player who can function well with minimum supervision

+ Attention to detail and follow-through

+ Verbal and written communication skills.

+ Prior Qualcomm experience preferred

Physical Requirements

+ Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.

+ Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.

+ Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).

+ Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.

+ Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc., 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
