General Summary

Qualcomm’s Fingerprint sensor design team is responsible for the design of the next generation fingerprint sensors, capable of authentication under OLED displays and various platens. We are looking for a motivated candidate with strong background in CMOS mixed-signal integrated circuits design.Ideal candidate to have a Masters in Engineering, Science or related field and with Skills: Analog or mixed-signal integrated circuits design, CMOS sensor design, semiconductor physics, cadence skill, Matlab and/or Verilog/VHDL.Responsibilities:Oversees definition, design, verification, and documentation for development of a variety of CMOS mixed analog/digital blocks of fingerprint sensor with LTPS TFT backplane. Determines architecture design and circuit specifications based on system level requirements. Actively involved in all aspects of the design from system definition/simulation to circuit design and simulation. Heavy involvement in overseeing layout and sensor evaluation is also expected. Uses design tools such as Cadence ADE, MathWorks MATLAB and others. Provides technical expertise for new initiatives. The principal responsibilities of this role include:• Uses appropriate tools or databases to contribute to architecture and circuit designs for one or more blocks such as sensor pixel, peripheral digital circuit block; participates in design reviews. • Works with layout teams to oversee block-level layout of one or more blocks. • Defines and runs own simulations and analyses on designs; documents and utilizes results to improve and verify designs. • Runs simulations and tests to identify bugs in own work and debugs most issues. • Consults with internal or external users as directed to assist with implementation and achieve goal alignment. • Maintains understanding of one’s technical domain and builds understanding of other domains to ensure integration with different components. • Writes detailed technical documentation and design descriptions to guide users and/or customers. • Collaborates with team members to generate ideas.Keywords Analog, Mixed-Signal, CMOS Circuit, CMOS sensor, Image Sensor, CMOS Pixel, TFT, LTPS

Physical Requirements• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.• Continuous communication (e.g., on conference calls) which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

Bachelors – Computer Science, Bachelors – Engineering, Bachelors – Information Systems

Work Experiences:

2+ years of Systems engineering or related work experience.

Work Experiences:

4+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience ,2+ years experience working in one or more multimedia technology areas (i.e., speech, audio, imaging, computer vision, display, sensing, biometrics, augmented/virtual reality).
