What We Can Achieve Together:
This is an innovative and historic opportunity within our organization! The Finance Director position represents a thoughtful and significant investment in the financial capacity of the organization. Responding to increasing demands across the region, this highly important and visible position. We are hiring a Finance Director for each of the following divisions within the North Ameria region: Northeast, Southern, Great Plains, Midwest/Pacific, Western US & Canada. Flexibility to work within the timezone of the region is preferred.
The Finance Director oversees the strategy, analysis, and management of financial activities at the division level, and acts as a thought partner to the Regional Finance Director, Division Director, and Business Unit (BU) Finance staff in decision-making and implementation.
The Finance Director will provide broad oversight of Division-wide finances including planning, reporting, and analysis of current division finance and operations activities. They will identify gaps in alignment and efficiencies and ensure standards and compliance requirements are met. The Finance Director will represent the division in regional and organizational-wide initiatives and tailor implementation for their division. This includes current TNC’s realignment of internal operating and funding models, and TNC’s ongoing transition to a new financial management system in Workday.
The Finance Director will not manage BU finances or supervise staff; however, they will develop and implement financial management standards and compliance requirements that impact BU-level processes in their division. They will provide subject matter expertise and serve as a resource to their BUs, and direct alignment across their division.

You will focus on divisional financial strategy, creative problem-solving, and change management. You will also work cross-functionally and cross-geographically, thus having opportunity and visibility to multiple facets of the organization.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 7 years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience designing, implementing, and directing multiple complex projects.
- Experience with accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Although this position does not manage staff, experience developing, mentoring, and coaching staff is appreciated.
- Project management experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a strong executive presence.
- Experience with complex financial analysis, including analyzing provided data and sharing to stakeholders.
- An innovative mindset to develop and implement organizational improvements.
